Who don’t need to load their pages quickly? ;) I’ve sent your post link to few of my friends with slow loading WordPress blogs. They said they were using other cache plugins right now. Hope this will fix their blogs too :)

Cheers…

Hi Vanita,

Less is more, even on fast internet connection and every tenth of a second less loading time sure helps to get the visitors stay. As you know a slow loading page can cause people to click away from your site without even reading the landing page.
I did some minify’ing using the W3 Total Cache (database section) and that helps a little. Only thing is you end up having narly HTML sent to the browser. And that can prove the weakest link.
Flush your caches before testing. ;)

yep Jan, when I had w3, the minify did weird things so i turned it off. i actually put up with a lot of crud from that plugin. lol. the straw that said deactivate was when it made my commentluv premium wonky. so out the door it went. lol

Hi Vanita,

That is a good tip. I have been using Better Delete Revision but I don’t think that provides the option to determine how many revisions to save. I’ll have to check that plugin out against BDR and see which is better.

Thank you so much for sharing all of this stuff- I need to go back and tweak posts as well, but I can only deal with a little bit at a time. That’s okay though, cause you always have good reminders and info. for us. Happy weekend!
